| Summary | 0002353: Clipper not caulking clipped faces consistently | ||||
| Description | Preferences has a page for the Clipper. On it, there's a checkbox to select "Clipper tool uses caulk texture". Supposedly this caulks the new faces created by a split. This is extremely useful when slicing func_statics that cross visportals. Lots of trim = lots of splits. However, it doesn't work. The faces receive a texture from the brush. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Texture a brush. Use the Clipper to split it in half. The new faces have a texture that's used on the brush. They aren't caulked. | ||||
| Additional Information | The results are inconsistent. The new faces would get caulked if each face of the brush had a different texture. Use 5 different textures on 6 brush faces and the new faces would get one of the textures, not caulk. The field below the checkbox on the Clipper page has "textures/common/caulk" in it. | ||||
