I attack the zombies and can dodge their attacks too easily.
*Zombie attack animation is too slow: I see them attack and have long time to move out of the way.
*The zombie has a long delay when he can attack again, which makes the slow attack even worse.
*Zombie moves too slowly, which makes the dodge really easy. The first zombie did not advance at all!
*If zombie happens to hit, it does pitiful amount of damage.

Later in the video I attack two revenants simultaneously and try to use the same tactic: I get killed instantly.

I used stock TDM 2.0 (test version) with stock difficulty options.

The zombie should certainly be more fearsome.

How difficult were zombies in 1.08? I thought zombies were always pretty easy to dodge as long as you didn't get into a tight corner.

I tried fighting a zombie in a testmap...he seemed more effective than that. I was still able to beat him, but he pursued me more than the one in the video and hit me several times. Although my combat settings are on Hard, come to think of it.

Have increased the anim_rate of running and melee attacks. Two other problems remain:

1. Zombie can attack while moving. However, if he bumps into you, he will stop and stand still for at least a second before starting his attack. During this time players can easily get in a free hit.

2. Zombie has a very slow rate of attack, even when you're standing right in front of him. Several seconds go by between each attack. I don't know how to speed this up.

(reminder also that skeletons will need the same treatment)

Added new attack animations with greater reach.

Also gave zombie Skilled attack set to speed up attack frequency.

  I think this will be suitable for 2.00, and the other issues can be looked at for 2.01.
