Description | "Sometimes due to internal collision physics workings, the melee collision trace registers that it hit the AI, but it fails to return a material, so it just uses the default 1.0 damage multiplier. This causes "armor penetrating" attacks every now and then (it was either that or neglect the attack entirely, which seems like a worse player experience). As I recall the player's thrust attack was the biggest culprit, but the others seemed to work pretty well. This might be fixable now that the collision physics are open source. "
This is resulting in undead being easier to kill with a sword than they should be, because every third hit is doing full damage.
