|Summary||0005058: TDM doesn't automatically suspend desktop compositing in KDE|
|Description||For Linux users who use the KDE desktop environment, The Dark Mod doesn't suspend desktop effects when launched, even when the setting to disable them is enabled in the System Settings panel. Other games, such as Xonotic, do suspend the compositor accordingly. The engine is likely not sending the system signal for this.|
The reason this is important is that disabling the desktop compositor may improve performance and the FPS of the game. Currently it needs to be disabled manually using Alt + Shift + F12 when starting TDM then manually turned back on after closing it, which works but is an annoyance.
