| Description | TDM has recently started supporting subtitles and added (or is adding them) to the 2 official missions. However, they can currently only be setup by editing text files via 2 different methods, depending on whether the sound is too long for the subtitles to fit on one slide (i.e. briefing voiceover). I think this is the reason why uptake among mappers has been slow so far. I think it would be very helpful if there were an editor that lets you associate subtitles with audio files, and would also make it more realistic for someone to subtitle all the AI lines. Would be good if it had any of these features: 1) play an .ogg/.wav audio file, type in a corresponding subtitle and set the verbosity level 2) show existing subtitles for that audio file 3) create a .srt file for longer audio files, which is essentially a list defining which text is shown at what times. For longer audio files it'd also be helpful to: 1) play/pause/resume the audio and show you the elapsed time vs. total time (can be substituted by an external media player, however) 2) preview the subtitles appearing and disappearing while the sound plays | ||||
