Description | Mappers can use the "testmap" console command to perform "dmap", then "map" to load a map. However, if there's a problem with the dmap (i.e. leak), the engine won't give any warning and load the map anyway - unlike "dmap", where the mapper gets kicked back to the main menu with a warning. The mapper might not even realise that dmap has failed if the map has no AIs yet, as the "AAS32 is out of date" popup won't be shown.
It'd be good if "testmap", like "dmap", kicked the mapper back to the main menu upon failed compilation. |
