Description | It's now quite easy to create animated models by using right-click > Create model > creating a modeldef. However, finding available anims still requires looking into the .pk4 or looking into the modelDef, which might in turn inherit from another modelDef where most anims are defined.
Having an "editor_anim" type of spawnarg would be quite useful, which could offer a button to "Choose anim" in the entity inspector and be assigned to i.e. the "start_anim" spawnarg of func_animates. There is already the MD5 Animation Viewer which this could maybe hook into to preview the anim, but just having a list of available anims to choose from would be the most important thing. |
