| Description | In Training Mission, the book in the center room reads "Messages will appear on your screen to guide you (they can be turned off in the Menu if you wish)." If such a setting exist, it is difficult to find. This was also reproduced in TDM 2.12/64 #10584 (beta212-01). In 2.11, there is a setting "Show Menu Tooltips" (Main Menu - Settings - Gameplay), but that does not control in-game tooltips, nor should it. Also, it was removed for 2.12 in 0006344. Proposal: 1) (preferred) Implement it * Add a setting "Show Popup Messages in Game" * Let it have values in seconds (with a precision of 0.1 second?) and let the user change it * Set default to current value * Let 0 mean completely disable * Add a tooltip in the Main Menu explaining the new setting * No need to update the book message because now the popup messages can be turned off 2a) If such a setting already exists, then clarify in the message in the book how user can find it. 2b) If no such setting already exists, then the book message should be removed until it is implemented. | ||||
