| Summary | 0006533: Wrong instructions for picking locks in Training Mission when using gamepad | ||||
| Description | The book in room "Keys & Lockpicks" reads "To pick a lock [...] hold the 'use' key." When playing on keyboard, the default for "use" is "U" or "<enter>", and this works as expected. But when playing with a gamepad, the button Y is mapped to do: * PRESS PAD_Y "_inventory_use" * LONG_PRESS PAD_Y "_inventory_grid" (see https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Bindings_and_User_Settings#Gamepad_Default_Bindings) So a gamepad player will be able to tap the Y-button and get a red or green flash, indicating if they are using the correct pick, but when holding it down they will go to the inventory instead of picking the lock. For a gamepad, the frob is used to pick the lock. Proposal: * Update the instructions in the book to also cover the gamepad case. | ||||
