Summary0006639: Held items cause decals to spawn on breakable glass
DescriptionAnother issue with breakable glass is that when the player holds an object and walks toward a func_fracture entity, the func_fracture spawns cracked decals, even if the player might not have meant to break the glass. Not only is this unrealistic behavior, but if the player is holding onto an item that is currently causing these decals to spawn, there is a small FPS drop. I suggest we find a way so that no decals spawn if the player is currently holding an item.

Here are the steps.
1. Pick up a grabbable item
2. Move toward breakable glass with that item and make the item touch the glass.
3. Witness the cracks and FPS drop
Additional InformationSeveral FMs now have breakable glass including Year of the Rat, Eye on the Prize, and V3: Gemcutter
