Summary0000101: Easy toggle option for Inspectors Always On Top
DescriptionThis might be partially addressed by any planned MDI (or removal thereof) changes.

The request is to have an easy way to make the Inspectors window stay Always On Top when you choose (maybe a quick button right on the window or something accessible with a hotkey - something convenient, because I imagine this will be toggled often). This would make it much easier to do texturing (selection and placement) with the camera view maximized.

This is a window manager issue, out of scope for application code. In Linux (GNOME) you can make any window stay on top using the top-left window menu, but in Windows you would probably need some third-party tweaking tool. I'm pretty sure there is no way to influence this behaviour from GTK, at least in a reliable or portable way.

Any idea how they do it in DoomEd, and if it can be mimicked? Is MDI still on the chopping block?

On second thought, this is not terribly important. A mapper can almost as easily just stretch the camera window to cover most of available space, leaving enough of the Textures Inspector visible to click and bring it forward, select a texture, and then go back to the camera (which they'd have to do with it on top anyway, plus it would stay in the way). I've been doing so this afternoon. This requires all of one extra action: resizing the window manually.

If you guys have nothing further on this, we may as well close it out as a non-issue.
