| Description | This was born of 0000896 (now closed; it became a bit too specific-case) and discussion in this thread: http://modetwo.net/darkmod/index.php?s=&showtopic=7937&view=findpost&p=156779 In summary: we have a system in place now where Frob + appropriate key = 'Frob-Use' for the correct door. (Some existing issues for lockpicks are tracked separately.) The goal here is that such a system be devised with the following things in mind: 1. that it be generic, and work this way for any such appropriately linked items, not just keys and doors (arch and keystone, altar and idol, watercan and beanstalk...) 2. that such relationships be created with keypairs, so that map authors may avoid the need of scripts to achieve this Of course, advanced behaviors by the item activated might require scripting, but the goal here is to be able to set up the relationship easily at least.
