DescriptionSo far I don't see this reported, but please close if this is a dupe.

I believe discussion on the forum has concluded that this is desired (damned if I can find the threads). Basically, auto-use of readied inventory object against a frobable. For example behavior seen in Thief, the auto-use of a readied key (or lockpicks) on a locked door when frobbed.

I guess this should probably be optional, as some users will undoubtedly want these actions explicitly separated.

Hm, I wonder if this should also apply to junk objects? It would be very rare perhaps, but could happen, I guess (e.g., using a stone block to smash a wall).

This is already implemented. Try to frob a door with the matching key highlighted in the inventory.

Is that possibly not on SVN yet? It's not working here; but, if I try to Use the keys (_impulse51) the doors unlock as normal. Do I need a different bind? I'm attempting to use _impulse41 as the action described.

Some weirdness here; I get a negative result for keys on doors (currently the limit of implementation). See this post for a video:

and as reference when/if this issue is revisited in the future (sounds like it requires some re-designs unfortunately).
