Almost forgot about this until I just ran into it again (sword guard); better get it tracked officially so it doesn't fall through the cracks.

Edit: I can get this pretty reliably by trying to drop a body near a convex corner (e.g., near the outside of a doorway, where it meets the wall).

It seems to be general instabilities in an af or skeleton rather than some kind of dominoe-effect impulses.

May also be related to 0001117 (http://bugs.angua.at/view.php?id=1117) as it happens also to ai_thief and ai_commoner with shortswords attached to them.

Confirmed to happen still 7/9/09, builder guard (I'm not sure what his status w/r/t new rigging is though).

builder was just updated to new skeleton today; don't know whether there's any connection though. The builder guard has def_attached pauldrons, so it could still be related to that issue.

I can confirm that if the pauldrons are not set to "solid" "0", then the breakdancing occurs.

Suggested fix: set non-droppable attachments to nonsolid on KO or death?

That would be ideal, and I thought there was a spawnarg for that, but I don't recall what it is.

Is this still a problem? I could KO the builder guard just fine without having him doing a breakdance.

I set the attached pauldrons to nonsolid for the moment until a fix is found. To test, go to tdm_props_wearable.def and change entityDef pauldron_builder_left & right to solid.

Fixed by adding "drop_set_nonsolid" spawnarg to code and def.
