After he gives up on getting through the locked door, he sometimes (not shown in video) stands there, without further action. The question is, if he cannot reach his first desired flee destination, should he establish another? Or just cower? Run around like a headless chicken? Etc. Probably not of immediate importance, as this is a pretty high level behavior, I'd say.
