Using the latest beta (6867) and I can still replicate this bug. Here is how I do it (works on Windows and Linux): Start mission Choose expert difficulty Buy flashbomb (other items optional) Start game Select flashbomb and Use Item FWIW, I have set my middlemouse to Use Item (edit: irrelevant, works with default Use key as well) |

| Can't reproduce that - I followed the exact steps as above, but after using the flashbomb the lantern gets selected in the inventory, as expected. | |

I just tried to reproduce it again and it didn't work. I was on Hard rather than Expert, and was using the flashbomb in regular gameplay rather than just dropping it at the start of the map. Perhaps those variables are important. I'll have to try again and see. |
