| Summary | 0001530: libxml2 upgrade to 2.7.2 and WS32_32 dependency | ||||
| Description | As reported by Baal here: "Recently, I tried some of the newer snapshots (pre9 and 10) and these don't start on my system. I'm using Windows 2000 (SP4). The problem is the function "freeaddrinfo" missing from "ws2_32.dll". For systems older than XP "freeaddrinfo" is defined in "wspiapi.h" as a macro to some other function. But this header isn't included anywhere. I think the dll is used by "libxml2"." This is caused by the HTTP/FTP code in libxml2 which is referencing the aforementioned symbols and requires linking against WS2_32.LIB. The code is not used for DarkRadiant and can be disabled for compiles. This should make a standard DarkRadiant build compatible with Win2k again. | ||||
