I've gotten that problem with the FMs almost every time I start the game from a saved game. If I start the mission from scratch, I can reload saves as much as I want without the problem, but if I load up TDM and start with a saved game, I get the default font seemingly every time. Can't figure it out, but it's clearly not lack of RAM. | |
Should be fixed, after some tiresome trial and error. I know now that Doom 3 is falling back to "fonts/micro" during gameload after a fresh game restart - which I'm unable to fix as this code is closed source. I checked in a substitute font set which replaces the "micro" files with "stone". | |
I'm 're-newing' this one because of reports that the hud font now sometimes defaults to a tiny unreadable font. My guess is that it is the same problem but likely the scale of stone font is much smaller than the doom font. Maybe this can be fixed with some other font or maybe the scale/size can be set for stone somehow when it defaults?
