Summary | 0002139: Save selections
Description | Not sure whether you know the feature of 3dsmax to save selections. They have a text input with dropdown in the toolbar where you can enter a name to save the current selection or select one of the existing names to reselect a saved selection. Such a feature would be very cool - even if the saves can't be persistent.

Sounds useful. Something similar can be achieved using Layers, but a dedicated feature is always better.
Sounds almost exactly like layers. Make a selection in the editor, right click on any ortho view and go Create Layer. Call you layer what you want, and then move the selection to that layer. You can now hide that entire selection or select it all in the layers gui.
First unpolished version implemented.
