Summary | 0002159: Sleepers play standing pain animation
Description | When you damage a sleeper (with a fire arrow, say), he pops to standing long enough to play his pain animation, then pops back into sleeping pose and gets up normally. It would probably be good to disable any pain/failed KO/etc animations on sleepers.

This also happens on sitting AI. Perhaps a specific torso-only pain animation is needed?
This issue does no longer appear, at least on sleepers. If you kill them with a fire-arrow, they die instantly, if you hurt them with a broadhead, the sit up, play a pain animation (?), then stand up and go investigate.
Spoke too soon, it happens on atdm:ai_undead_zombie_alt01 and on atdm:ai_proguard, but only if you hurt them with the sword, shooting arrows into them works fine. Maybe it depends on which body part you hit? |
|
We don't have different pain animations based on damage location. We have several different pain animations since this report was filed, however. Perhaps some work properly and some don't?
Can confirm it is happening with sword damage but not arrow damage. No idea why it's different.
