Summary0002327: Light level dips to ambient only between info_location zones
Description1. setup two zones for proper use with info_location. We're going to exaggerate the light levels to see the effect
2. make one zone of low-mid level base brightness ("ambient_light" property). Make the color red, or something strong.
3. make the other zone of lower base level brightness (ambient_light) than the first zone. Make the color green, to oppose the red. And,
4. add some extinguishable or switchable light sources to the second room, and add a high value for ambient_light_dynamic. The light in this second room is now a combination of the base ambient + the dynamic light from the torches (or whatever).
4b. set both zones to have no fade times or delays.
5. stand right next to the zone barrier, and look at something where you can get a good perspective on color and light changes (e.g. a bright wall)
6. set the update_period on the location_settings to be 0.5 or 1, to exaggerate the effect
7. step back and forth (not quickly) between the two zones, and watch the effect.

The expected effect is:
Total light level of zone 1 --> (update_period delay) --> Total light level of zone 2

Instead, the effect is:
Total light level of zone 1 --> (update_period delay) --> base light level of zone 2 --> (update_period delay) --> Total light level of zone 2.

If you go back and forth, you see the same effect over and over.

So, instead of going directly from one zone light level to the other (with controlled delays), instead it steps DOWN from ambient+dynamic to ambient only then to ambient+dynamic (if applicable) again. The result is a darkening hop between the two zones, and it is apparently NOT disguisable in delays; I tried setting all values to zeros or as low as I can, and there is still a noticeable drop in light level when passing between zones. While it might not seem like a big deal, if you have one area lit by torches, thus adding dynamic to the base ambient, and another not, it's quite noticeable and jarring.

I'll attach a light level diagram as well, just in case what I'm saying still isn't clear.
