| Description | Currently filter in the "Filter" menu can only filter on texture names, or entity class names. Sometimes, however, it would be very useful to filter on model name, esp. when all the entities are of the same class like "func_static". This happens for instance if you have a lot of differen func_static trees. In this case it is not possible to filter them by texture (as the invisible treetops will still be considered when selecting entities), nor by class name (as filtering all func_statics will remove a lot other entities too). Likewise, "hide" (either manual or "hide all the same models" is not a substitute, because there is only one "unhide" step (which unhides everything, not just the trees), and this is very cumbersome compared to toggling the menu entry in "Filters". Likewise "Select the same model" only selects the very same model, while Filtering allows regular expressions, thus catching more than one tree-kind at the same time. The only substitue would be sorting the trees in layers, but that only works if you already did the work - and not for huge maps with forests like NHAT 3 where there are no layers yet. So please consider adding this feature. | ||||
