Summary0002886: The updater leaves old files around
DescriptionTrying to package v1.06, I notice that there are some files in my local v1.06 installation that are not part of the release set on the mirror servers:

* tdm_sound_vocals08.pk4
* tdm_sound_vocals09.pk4
* tdm_sound_vocals10.pk4
* tdm_sound_vocals11.pk4
* tdm_textures_roof01.pk4

vocals08 f.i. contains files that are now part of vocals05
Steps To ReproduceTake any old installation, run the updater on it.
Additional InformationThe expected outcome is that running the updater will clean of these files (to reduce the footprint on disk, and as well as not confuse doom into loading old fiels in other PK4s).

The files you mentioned (vocals08, vocals09, etc.) were at no time in any release set, hence the updater will not remove them. These files were in the PK4 mapping sometime in between 1.02 and 1.03, but 1.03 went out without these vocals08,09,10 files.

I would be hesitant to implement a "PK4" cleanup routine, since the updater might as well remove add-on PK4s sitting in the darkmod folder.

Agree that a general cleanup would not work due to add-ons, and I'll just delete the offending vocal files on my installation. The roof textures one was missing on my server and has since been addded.
