Summary0003513: Default snd_eaten sound not appropriate for all food
DescriptionThe default sound sounded like a splat noise, which while not very good, was very generic. The new one seems to be the apple eating sound. This really does not fit with a lot of food with no snd_eaten property.

For example, atdm:moveable_food_cheese_wedge has no snd_eaten property so it inherits from the parent, which uses

"snd_eaten" "tdm_player_crunch"

tdm_player_crunch sound shader has:

tdm_player_crunch
{
// no_dups

sound/voices/player/player_crunch_1.ogg
sound/voices/player/player_crunch_2.ogg
}

Which are both apple eating sounds.

So I'm proposing either making sounds for all the eatable food entities, or making a more generic default sound, such as the ones used in thief 1/2 for example.

Some of the "bread" on the table is cake, even though they look the same. When I eat them, they play the apple eating sound.
