| Summary | 0003708: Inventor Scientist shadow problem | ||||
| Description | Looks like the coat isn't casting a shadow and there is no shadowmesh to compensate? | ||||
| Tags | No tags attached. | ||||
| Hmm, the texture is set to noselfshadow, but should be casting shadows normally. | |
| Strange. Switching the coat to tdm_generic still results in it not casting a shadow. This suggests that it's not the texture, but the mesh itself that is the problem, though I'm not sure how that's possible. | |
| Huh. Copying the coat and saved it as a regular .lwo. Still no shadow. Something weird is definitely going on. | |
| Ok, so it seems like this is only happening in one testmap. If the coat texture is set to noselfshadow, it casts no shadow at all. But this isn't happening in other maps. Could the stone texture on the floor also have a noselfshadow stage? | |
|
Note to self. Don't use noshadow textures to cover the floor of your testmap. Issue closed. |
