Summary0000373: Entity and model filter fields
DescriptionI don't believe this has been reported yet... don't want to let this one slip by! :)

As recently mentioned in the cleanup thread on the forums, it would be a great addition to have search filters for both entities and models lists, as exists for the textures browser.

I am note sure what you mean by a "search" field, but under KDE on Kubuntu (Linux), when I press a letter like "f", I get a little box where I can enter text and the entity tree scrolls to entities starting with that string.

So a basic search seems already implemented.

Searching for all entities that contain the string "sword" is not possible with that box, or at least I don't see how.

Correct, I'm referring specifically to being able to type "painting" and you get a subset consisting of all items containing that string.

This should have been resolved some time ago, by adding the full-text typeahead fields to the browse dialogs.
