|Summary||0004034: Show AAS areas|
|Description||When running the game, you can toggle the display of AAS areas on and off.|
This is useful for determining where the AI are allowed to go and for the mapper to determine small ledges, tabletops, ceiling joists, etc. that are assigned AAS areas but where the mapper never intends the AI to travel.
Reducing AAS areas is helpful to pathfinding, and also keeps the AI out of trouble in the game.
It would be nice if DR allowed the author to see where his current AAS areas are. This would allow the author to remove the extraneous ones more quickly, and would promote better use of monsterclip in maps.
|Additional Information||Sometimes when using lanternbots, mappers place them outside the lanternbots' AAS areas, causing bugs they have to chase down and/or ask for help with. (I've had to research two instances of mappers doing this.)|
So if an AAS display is implemented, it should cover each of the different AAS types, not just the one used by humans.
