Description | Consider adding vine arrow training to the training mission. This may or may not require adding a small section to the current architecture. There are a couple vine arrows in the tower next to the archery range. Perhaps the outside of the tower could be used to teach the player how to use them. | ||||

Not enough time to add this to the training mission in 2.06. Moving to 2.07. |

The outside of the tower is vine friendly. The quickest completion of this task: 1) Create player notes that pop-up in vicinity of the vine arrows 2) Add a few more vine arrows 3) Add some water arrows to grow the vine arrows |

As we are finishing 2.07 beta, this should be moved to 2.08. | |

It’s too late to add it to 2.09, which should be considered frozen. Move it to 2.10. |

As 2.12 is looming and I was the last person I beleive to work on this map, I am happy do so again and add this feature. | |

Late in 2.12 beta testing, it was discovered that the latest version was much more taxing to low-end hardware Rev 16985 has a performance optimizations but still has some performance issues An even newer uncommitted version was created to address those but it was decided that all this last minute work has not gone through enough testing this late in the development cycle. Moving this to 2.13 |

Since we're now in 2.13 dev, I was wondering what the status is. I recently found players strugling with the Vine arrow in HH BAM and then thought of this. I think now is the time to start with implementing this, before beta arrives. |

- Implemented slick new system for the archey range, which cuts down on CPU usesage and makes the archery range more realistic - Dragofer & Bikerdude - Added vine-arrows to archery setion where the player is taught how to use them - Bikerdude, Amadeus and Daftmugi - Did a detail pass on the apartment hallway - All outside area have a LOD based (better or above) single proper moonlight, so we get shadows that lightup with the moon. Setting is accessable on LOD, 'better' setting. - Added LOD based - (better or above), direction correct moon casting window lights. - Fixed the terrain patch in the archer section, as it has some weird normals. - Created a vertex blended terrain patch for the climbing area, outside stealth area. - Tweaked the lighting and shadow casting items in the archery section to keep the DC under control. - Added a trigger popup message for when the player finds the gold status in bikerdude apartment in the canal section. - created updated signs for the hub area. - Added clutter the very bare spots, in the canal rope up spot, stealth outside alleyway, the gamma room, archery area and others. - Enhancing the down firing lights in the stealth section to VL (LOD based - better or above) - Fixed a boatr load of MC through out the map where NPCs were present. - Fixed a bunch of the roof FS around the map, where there was a hard cut-off in the roof-lines. - Created vertex blended terrain patches for the climbing/stealth areas. - Created a new small room in the canal section for one of the health potions (secret potion quest). - Converted the health-potions secrets to use official TDM method. - Fixed any remaining old mapping bugs that were spotted. - Added new windows to the handling area, stealth outside alleyway and some of the hub-to-room hallways. - Did a perf pass on the archery shed and made the inside the archery shed its own vizleaf to improve perf. - Fixed the looping sound for the machine in the lock-picking area, as it has a break in the playback (relevent tracker logged. - Where there are VL/Moon lights, there are accessable on LOD - better. All the original lights are present on LOD - normal. download link to follow. |
