Summary | 0004495: Option to scale models by a set amount |
---|
Description | The model scaler can only do freehand scaling right now. For non-organic, architectural assets e.g. doorframes or Springheel's new modules, it would be of greater utility if a model could be scaled up an x amount of grid units this or that way so that it better meshes with brush geometry. |
---|
Additional Information | There's a couple of ways this could be implemented, but I think the most natural extension of what we have right now is scaling being constrained by the grid.
Now, since obviously not a lot of our models' bounding boxes lie square on grid lines, it wouldn't really be helpful for their vertices to actually snap to the DR grid. It would be more prudent that the vertices are just moved a set amount of grid units (dependant on your grid size setting) when performing the scaling operation. |
