Does this happen on Cabalistic's FBO branch: http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/19507-antialiasing-in-trunk-207/#entry423736 https://github.com/fholger/thedarkmod/pull/6/files ? this seems to fall into the same class of problems as the current woes we have with reloadImages (etc) where not every routine runs through a full initialization process and those that aren't included in the sub-tasks in RenderSystem_Init (etc) are broken when you do things like install new missions without restarting the game (etc). |

I definitely can reproduce it on GeForce. Moreover, when the particles show up, I notice two additional issues with r_multisamples 4: 1. The particles are NOT occluded by solid objects. You see them through walls (stlucia_particles_1.jpg). 2. Under some view angles you can see some texture which masks the particle. For instance, I see chandelier texture in St.Lucia big hall (stlucia_particles_2.jpg). |
