Summary0004916: Sometimes, the breath bar disappears after loading/reloading
DescriptionThe breath bar does occasionally not show when I am underwater. Sometimes it happens right away when I start the map, sometimes it works first, but later stops working after reloading. This bug is independent of map and player location, i.e., whether the savegame was created underwater or not.
Steps To Reproduce-Create a savegame new or in water
-Reload and check the breathbar under water.
Additional InformationI have attached a console dump of loading an underwater save on the Training mission. When starting the map, the breath bar still shows, after reload, it doesn't.

It does not happen in 2.06. I loaded up the Training Mission, save inside the pool and reloaded a couple of times. The breath bar would always show. Also reloaded the game from a fresh restart. All good!

In 2.07, the breathbar won't show anymore after a few reloads.

I did some further test. Currently, I cannot reproduce exactly this behavior anymore (2.07 beta rev. 1 as before). But instead, the breathbar is frozen in place and I cannot drown anymore.

Are you sure that you physically cannot drown, and this is not just a graphical glitch?

I stayed under water for a duration that would normaly definitely let me drown. I will see if I can reproduce it from current source and attach the debugger to see what's what. I suspect there is something wrong with checking player physics / water physics after reloading.

The problem was an uninitialized member variable lastAirCheck. Now fixed in rev. 7853

Add lastAirCheck also to savegame and restore to be perfectly save.
