DescriptionchanceNoticeBrokenItem is set to 1 on the entire AI hierarchy except the elemental, atdm:ai_monster_base and its child class the werebeast.

It seems surprising that rats, horses or spiders would care about broken items (aside from the noise of breakage). Arguably the same applies to undead, which don't notice missing items, suspicious items, weapons, blood [edit: except Revenants, which may notice blood] or even other undead. (Steambots also don't notice any of those other things.) I thought I'd query it here in case it just turned out this way by accident.
