Summary0000533: Non-english characters in Windows username causes log creation error
DescriptionWhen DarkRadiant is started on WinXP under a user who's name includes non-english characters (eg. å ä ö) it complains about not being able to create log file. It asks to check write permissions in Radiant directory. Write permissions are correct. This dialog pops-up several times during start-up. At the end of start up it displays a warning that it can't delete a file in C:\Documents and Settings\M*ten\Application Data\DarkRadiant\ where * in the Username represents a strange symbol (looks like a square with four smaller swaures inside it). The correct characters are "å" (a small a with a circle above it) and "r".
On exact same system under a username with only english characters the start-up is problem free.

Fixed in SVN. Strings are now converted to UTF-8 before they are stored into the XMLRegistry (and converted back on reading).
