| Summary | 0006024: Stone fireplace prefab leaks light with stencil shadows enabled | ||||
| Description | The tdm_fireplace_stone_lit.pfb prefab leaks light behind it if the player is using stencil shadows. The problem doesn't occur with shadow maps. Would be happy to try a workaround if anyone can suggest one, but think it should be fixed if kept in core assets. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Add the tdm_fireplace_stone_lit.pfb prefab to a map, and observe with both stencil shadows and shadow maps to see the effect. | ||||

| This is to be expected since the model has no backfacing triangles, which are what's used by stencil shadows to cast shadows from. The normal usage case is to have the model aligned flush with the wall - are you sure this is the case in your map? | |
| Yes that fixed it. Apologies I didn't realise that's all it was. This can be closed. | |
