Description | On occasion, rope arrows fired into a surface (e.g. a wooden wall) will deploy their ropes in a perfectly straight line hanging in midair, rather than doing their normal ragdoll deployment. Additional Information | Reproduction conditions are unknown, but this may have something to do with firing lots of arrows into a single entity (including worldspawn). The error sometimes (always?) manifests on a per-entity basis. | ||||

This is more reproducable if you fire them into the middle trunk of a tree. | |
Added an extra "m_rope.activate( m_rope );" where deploy angle is set. Needs more testing as confirmation. |

Put an extra "m_rope.activate( m_rope );" right after sys.spawn. No longer deploys rigid. | |
NOPE NOPE NOPE, I screwed up. "Stiff rope" starts having a significant chance of happening after firing 4 rope arrows. "stiff rope" also is partially a child problem of how AFs aren't accepting impulses quite right. |

I just witnessed this in Sir Taffsalot's new beta mission. It only happened once and I did not know about the "4 arrow rule" but it occurred on my first shot. |
