Committed code rev 10887. Fixed search missions by author. Issue: Authors was split by "and", among other terms. However, that caused authors with "and" (no spaces) within their name to split. For example, "Frost_Salamander" split into "Frost_Salam" and "er". Fix: Split by " and ". |

I tested 2.13/64 #10890, here are some thoughts: 1) The issue with "and" in usernames seems to be fixed as described. I also searched for & but could not find any noticeable unexpected behavior. 2) searching for "frost salamander" renders no match, since the user is listed as "frost_salamander" (I have no suggestion, it's just an observation) 3) When clicking in the box "Search title/author", the cursor is almost undetectable and at first I mistook the box for a disabled button because of the dim text and since the label was inside the box rather than beside it (like the "Enter Name:" when saving a mission) and because nothing seemed to happen when I clicked it. The box "Enter Name:" when saving also has a cursor that is hardly noticeable. If the cursor was made darker and bolder and perhaps even remove the text "Search title/author" after the click rather than after the user starts typing, I think that would prevent this confusion. 4) The only way to clear the filter is to click in the box and remove the text. Adding a button "X" to the right of the box which clears the filter (and restores the text "Search title/author") would improve usability. Overall the filter is an improvement. It works and fulfills its primary function and with only some minor deficiencies in usability. |
