Summary0000694: Crouching swimming annoyances and issues
DescriptionI've encountered crouch-swimming issues enough that they seem repeatable. (for the most part it seems fine though)

1. When crouch-swimming, if you attempt to surface, you automatically descend again upon reaching air. Here's a video of crouch-swimming, simply angling up a bit. Each time I reach air, I plunge back down. I am guessing this is the same type of crouch issue as encountered (and fixed) with disconnecting from ladders, whether the user presses it or has it on toggle, and can probably benefit from a similar fix. 2. On my other system, I ran into a spot where I got stuck in the tunnel before this area (shown above) and kept plunging up and down. I didn't have fraps running so I couldn't get a vid. Not yet reproduced. Possibly a problem with the map, not crouch-swimming.

3. Standing in the same tunnel while crouch-swimming clipped me into the ceiling and as such I went off floating into the void. Not reproduced, but expected not to be difficult. Possibly a problem with the map, not crouch-swimming.


Edit, Just in case this isn't mentioned elsewhere:
When crouched in water, you cannot use jump/mantle to climb out. Many times you'll sit there thinking, wtf, why can't I get out... then you toggle crouch and get out fine.

1. is fixed now

Can't check 2 and 3, but they rather sound like map issues (and the link to the video is broken).

Yuo can also mantle out of the water using jump-mantle while crouched (and you are still crouched when outside).
