Remaining possible issues: *** attaching to ropes from bottom while crouched. Would be nice, but is probably not vital. *** some bugs which result from climbing while crouched (originally reported: http://modetwo.net/darkmod/index.php?s=&showtopic=6881&view=findpost&p=139473 ) 1. Crouch, and then attach to a rope from the top. Climb about halfway down, and release all movement keys. The player slowly climbs upward. It is in fact a climb, not a clip-float, because climbing sounds still play. As a side effect, climbing downward is very slow (as it fights the upward drag). 2. After the first problem, you can no longer detach at the top via climb, jump, or mantle. You're stuck going down. *** possible safety change, reported in same post: ropes act differently w/r/t to player pressing crouch, in that, if you're on a rope and press crouch, you fall, no matter the direction you're facing. On a ladder, you immediately re-bind to the ladder if you're facing it. You must face away to detach. On the on hand, it's good as a sure-fire detach for getaway. On the other hand, it's inconsistent with ladders, and the ladders have a nice safety from falling. | ||||
