The font patcher has been enhanced to be able to change the width (and position on the texture) of characters. A new texture for Carleton has been painted, and a control file to reduce the width of some characters has been created. Not all the possible characters have been changed (f.i. only "o" is changed, but not "ö", "ô", "ó" etc.), but the basic work is done, and the possible further reduction in width is now very small. See attached screenshot for the result. It doesn't buy us too much space, but it definitely helps with languages like French, Italian and Portuguese. |
