Charisma over at the Darkfate community has packed translated missions. https://www.darkfate.org/view/details/files/fan-missions/translates/tdm (These are newer as well.) The packs here include override maps files, guis, xd files so they don't touch the original mission data. They just use TDM \ Doom 3's native override by naming convention. |

This will wait until TDM architecture has settled down a bit. Because of major engine changes, replacement materials, defs, and shaders are being applied to old maps and the translations may revert these changes. |

Too much work to back-port 2.08 to 2.10 changes to these darkfate translations right now. Moving to 2.11 but will probably start porting during 2.10 for any stable old missions ( missions that will not be touched ). |

There is a plan to move the mission database to "exploded folder structure" on the backend ( 0005915 ) so updating translations now would cause duplicate work. Deferring |

I apologize for the slow progress. Just got done with a medical procedure that impairs me a little due to medicines that make me drowsy, etc. The real slow-down is that existing translation packs have different string numbers to the Darkfate versions so I have to tediously renumber all the other strings ( Italian, German, etc ) to match the Darkfate order. Probably something a script could do if I spent a little time studying it… |

VFAT1 to 3 added VFAT1 was renamed to VFAT2 when the mission was made part of a campaign. The wrong strings were then associated to the "New" VFAT1 ( Angel's Tear ). Also, all 3 missions had incorrect screenshots. VFAT2: The old Italian and German strings no longer match the campaign readables \ guis, etc. These were moved into a folder named "old" in case they might help future translators. Now all 3 missions use Charisma's localization packs and have the correct screenshots associated |

Still many other Russian translations over at Darkfate but those can easily be converted ( and can be used as-is by players ). The Training Mission French translation is an open question? We don't have an language pack system for included "Official" FMS as I can tell? Winter Harvest translation can probably be reformatted and uploaded to Moddb until someone fixes the mission for modern TDM versions... |

Now starting on missions that have translation strings but were only "translated" to English. Since Charisma ( Darkfate.org ) has actual Russian translations for all or most of these, we will replace with their versions. A few possibly challenging translations remain but this is almost done. Darkfate / Charisma seems to have stopped working on translations around mid 2017 Maybe some other community has a few packs? |

Accountant 1 added Sadly, the Darkfate.org version is superior as it contains fully dubbed audio and video. Unfortunately, the translation system doesn't support toggling audio and video so you can only overwrite the mission files in the translation package. The remaining missions are controlled by the TDM Team and we would need to agree on how to handle translations for bundled missions. |
